Children learn about community with Under Construction: A Habitat for Humanity Vacation Bible School.

The Church, Our Congregation, the Family of God - these are all ways of describing the community of faith. One of the primary themes found in Under Construction is that of Christian community. Every gathering of believers has its own way of being community together. Children fulfill a significant role within a healthy and forward-looking community.

In Acts 2:44-47 we find an early description of the community of faith. The functions of community that are found in this passage give us an exciting picture of the church’s life. Under Construction uses the description found in Acts to draw together the Bible Story Themes presented daily to the children.
