Lex Horton
Publisher, Executive Vice President, Former Intersection Editor
Lex Horton earned a BA with a double major in Psychology and Religion from Campbellsville University in Campbellsville, Kentucky, and a Master's degree in Counseling from SBTS in Louisville, Kentucky. He has served churches in Kentucky, Pennsylvania, Georgia, and Italy. After starting with Smyth & Helwys in 1997 as Intersection Editor, Lex currently serves as Publisher and Executive Vice President. He is married to Tammy and has three children. He enjoys spending time with his family, listening to old Grateful Dead concerts, and watching and reading about college and professional football.

Stuart Lamkin
Editor, Uniform Series
Stuart Lamkin is married to Sara, whom he met while they were students at the Baptist Theological Seminary at Richmond (BTSR). He and Sara have a baby son, Sean. Before attending BTSR, he studied history at Rhodes College in Memphis. Stuart has served on church staffs in Tennessee and Virginia, ministering in such areas as youth, children, and church planting. He enjoys watching and talking about movies, absorbing the news, and researching family history. He takes very seriously the art of crafting quality curriculum that nurtures spiritual growth.

Darrrell Pursiful
Editor, Formations
In addition to his B.A. and Master's degrees, Darrell has a Ph.D. in New Testament. He has taught New Testament and Church History at both the college and seminary level, and his dissertation work on biblical spirituality has blossomed into an enduring passion to explore the prayer, liturgy, and discipleship of the early church. Before his work with Smyth & Helwys Publishing, Darrell served as pastor and church staff minister for churches in Kentucky, Indiana, and Michigan. Darrell and his wife Connie have one daughter, Rebecca.
