The Formations Teaching Guide has three purposes:
• to give the teacher tools for focusing on the content of the lesson in the Learner’s Study Guide
• to give the teacher additional Bible background information
• to give the teacher variety and choice in preparation

Teacher Preparation

Bible Background
• The Learner’s Study Guide is the main source of Bible study material. This section helps you more fully understand and interpret the biblical text.

Teaching Outline
• Provides an outline of the main themes in the Learner’s Study Guide

Teaching Procedure

Focus Paragraphs
• Italicized focus paragraphs help you move the class from “what the text meant” to “what the text means.”

Options
• Since there is more material provided for each lesson than you can use, choose one option from each section to tailor the lesson to your group’s needs.
