Dr. Brian Harbour is the author of the Smyth & Helwys Uniform Series Bible Study Commentary. He is Senior Pastor of First Baptist Church, Richardson, Texas and has served churches in Georgia, Mississippi, Florida, and Arkansas, along with other churches in Texas. Dr. Harbour earned a Ph.D. in theology from Baylor University in 1973.

A Baylor University regent, Dr. Harbour also serves on the boards of the Baylor Health Care System and Baylor University Medical Center. He helps develop future generations of church leadership as a visiting professor and member of the Advisory Council of the George W. Truett Theological Seminary in Waco, Texas. Dr. Harbour is a popular speaker and conference leader, as well as an esteemed member of several professional and academic associations. Dr. Harbour and his wife, Jan, are the parents of four adult children.
