Educational Values
Our core values can be summed up in a single wordFREEDOM.
As such, our resources have an extremely high view of learners, teachers, and content.
Learners
Learners can be trusted with Biblical truths.
Learners are capable of studying Scripture independently, and Bible study is more meaningful when learners discover insights for themselves.
Learners can search for answers in dialogue with each other and with guidance
from caring teachers.
Teachers
Teachers are guides with learners searching for truth and relevance.
Teachers know their classes and settings, and sessions should be customized accordingly.
Teachers have different approaches to teaching and deserve options that fit different teaching styles.
Content
The core content of our curriculum resources is the Bible. The Scriptures are at the center of our sessions.
We value the faith experiences of Christians and promote the sharing of this wisdom in the context of Bible study.
Aided by the guidance of the Holy Spirit, we believe the church is the best setting for Bible study.
Scripture is best understood when relevant connections are made between biblical truth and modern living.
Our Role
We believe our role is to provide quality information and educational approaches that support and encourage learning and growth in Christian faith and church citizenship.
It is not our role to make belief decisions for learners, teachers, or churches. We therefore celebrate a person's freedom to disagree with a session or unit. |
