Polarities of Human Existence
in Biblical Perspective

by Frank Stagg

This revision of a classic explores the doctrine of humanity from the perception of those situations where humans find themselves living in tension, pulled by the opposite dimensions of existence.

Frank Stagg was, at the time of publication, Professor Emeritus of The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary where he was for many years the James Buchanan Harrison Professor of New Testament Interpretation. A graduate of Louisiana College (B.A.) and Southern Seminary (Th.M.; Ph.D.), Dr. Stagg also taught at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary and has been the pastor of churches in Louisiana. A prolific writer, he numbers among his works the commentary on the Gospel of Matthew in the Broadman Bible Commentary.
