David Johnson Rowe was, at the time of publication, Senior Pastor of First Baptist Church in Pittsfield, Massachusetts. For nine years he was President of Habitat for Humanity International, and for one year its Director of Operations. He holds degrees from Andover Newton Theological School (M.A.) and Eastern Baptist Theological Seminary (D.Min.). His published works include The Love Library, Death Is Defeated, Kingdom Building, and Something Small For God.
