C. Welton Gaddy was, at the time of publication, the pastor of Northminster Church in Monroe, Louisiana. A graduate of Union University (B.A.) and Southern Baptist Theological Seminary (B.D., Th.M., Ph.D.), he has taught at Southern and Southwestern Baptist seminaries.
